We started For the Birds Nature Shop in Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia to share our passion for nature with new and experienced wild bird and weather enthusiasts.  We invest countless hours researching, selecting and field testing the best-designed bird feeding equipment, birding optics and weather instruments to ensure our customers’ satisfaction. May through December - Retail Showroom Hours
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Monday: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm,
Sundays: Noon – 4:00 pm

Tuesdays: CLOSED

Holidays: CLOSED

Note that we will also be CLOSED: Victoria Day, Canada Day, September 4 - 11th inclusive, Canadian Thanksgiving (Sunday October 10& Monday October 11), Remembrance Day, December 24 - 31.

January through April - Retail Showroom Hours

Saturdays: 10am - 4pm

Sundays: Noon - 4pm

Note that we are closed Easter Weekend.

Directions: Take Hwy 103 to Exit 10.  Turn right at the stop sign onto Hwy 3.  Follow the road into the town of Mahone Bay.  You’ll pass the three churches that we are famous for and come to a 3-way intersection with a Cenotaph Monument.  Keep to the left and turn left at the stop sign.  You are now on Main Street.  Follow the road for about 200 metres, we are on the left side (water side) in a large grey building, number 647.  There is customer parking for our retail showroom directly behind our building.  We are approximately 1 hour from Halifax, 2 1/4 hours from Digby and 2 1/2 hours from Yarmouth.
