Description

The Davis Vantage Vue (Davis model 6250M) wireless weather station, combines Davis Instruments legendary reliability and toughness into a home weather station that's easy to install and use. VantageVue includes two components: the Integrated Sensor Suite (ISS) which houses and manages the external sensor array, and the Console which provides the user interface, data display, and calculations.

Its frequency-hopping spread spectrum radio technology enables wireless transmission up to 1,000 feet (300 m) outdoors, line of sight. Typical range through walls under most conditions is 400' to 500' (120m to 150 m). Weather updates transmit every 2 1/2 seconds to the console. The Vantage Vue console's unique Weather Center feature provides extensive additional information for each weather variable, including daily highs and lows, temperature changes by the hour, barometric changes and astronomical data such as meteor showers.

Outdoor Sensor Suite is solar powered with a 3-volt Lithium battery for backup (included). (Battery typically needs replacement once every 12 months.  CR-123 3V lithium battery is commonly available). Console may be powered using the included AC-power adapter or with 3 'C' cell batteries (Batteries typically need replacement once every 2 to 3 years and are not included). Use WeatherLink™ (sold separately) to let your weather station interface with a computer, to log and analyse weather data, and upload weather information to the internet.

FEATURES

  • Displays indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity, barometric pressure, wind speed, wind direction and rainfall
  • Sealed electronics in the integrated sensor suite provide protection against the elements
  • Frequency-hopping spread spectrum radio for reliable data transmission
  • 50 on-screen graphs for comparing current and past weather
  • 22 alarms to warn of dangers such as high winds, possible flooding and more
  • passive shielding to reduce solar radiation induced temperature errors in the outside temperature sensor readings

Switches between metric and U.S. units of measure with the push of a button (note that the switching back and forth is for temperature, barometric pressure and wind but that the rainfall measurement is a mechanical tipping bucket and registers accurately in millimeters only. There is a separate U.S. model Vantage Vue model 6250 that measures rainfall in inches, sold separately)

Mounting pole not included. With the supplied U-bolt, the ISS can be mounted on a pole or rod having an outside diameter ranging from 1" to 1.75" (25 - 44 mm).

Made in U.S.A. One year manufacturer's warranty.
