Heartwood's "Hadley Park" Bird House

Charm and elegance best describes this "Hadley Park" birdhouse. The creamy crackle paint finish has hints of red in the cracks which contrasts with the solid copper roof for a rich look. Delightful butterfly accent on the hanging ring adds a touch of whimsy. Within a few months, the cooper roof and accents will lose their polished look and start to naturally tarnish. At first, the finish will turn dark, like an old copper penny. Then, after a number of years, the surface will begin to bloom with a beautiful natural blue-green patina.  Invite your feathered friends to stay or use as home or garden decor.

This decorative yet functional birdhouse is attractive to a variety of common backyard birds including wrens and chickadees. Complete with drainage and ventilation holes and a removable, roof for seasonal cleanouts.

Handcrafted by Heartwood from cypress for years of enjoyment. Heartwood's manufacturing process is "wood wise", utilizing short pieces of cypress that would otherwise be discarded, chipped or used to fire kilns. Heartwood purchases cypress that has been harvested in accordance with Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) guidelines. Cypress is naturally rot and decay-resistant, as well as naturally regenerating. When a tree is harvested, the stump automatically regenerates a new sapling; saplings also sprout from the root system of a healthy adult tree. Painted with outdoor grade 100% acrylic latex paint.
