Plastic bowl is textured and gradually sloped for maximum bird traction. The heating element is completely hidden beneath bird bath surface.

While designed to fit standard 2"x4" or 2"x6" deck rails, it can be easily adjusted to fit rail widths from as narrow as 1" to as wide as 5-1/2" without requiring the use of tools.
