Built in seed deflector in the base allows wild birds to remove virtually every last seed. The metal cap lifts and pivots easily for filling and cleaning. These "Quick Clean" birdfeeders feature a revolutionary removable base for quick and easy cleaning! To remove the base all you need to do is push the buttons and the base slides easily out!

* NOTE: Squirrels coming down from above the feeder slide right off the dome and are not be able to feed. However, if a squirrel is able to launch from a nearby tree branch or ledge onto a feeding perch, then it will not be squirrel proof. Hang this feeder in a position so that the only access for squirrels is from above if you wish to take advantage of the dome's squirrel proof design.
