Mid Size Binoculars

Mid-sized Binoculars are usually those with an objective lens of between 30mm and 36mm in diameter. As the name implies they are a middle ground between compact and full size binoculars. Somewhat smaller in size than their full size brethren but with more light gathering ability than compacts. Mid-sized binoculars are often preferred by bird watchers who might like to tuck their binos into their coat pocket and not have them hanging around their neck all day. If you like dawn walks in the forest but find full sized binos awkward, consider mid-sized as a compromise that still promises some good detail in low light.
