Finch / Nyjer Seed Feeders

Finches are absolutely crazy about nyjer (thistle) seed. It's small size and 40% oil content makes it irresistible! Goldfinches are somewhat timid and the constant flurry of other birds at your general-purpose bird feeder may intimidate them. By supplying your goldfinches with a nyjer seed bird feeder you may fill your backyard with the unmistakable brilliant yellow of the male American Goldfinch. Goldfinches travel in flocks so you usually won't see a single goldfinch, you'll likely see many. Some of our customers love to feed nyjer seed because it has been heat-treated to devitalize any weed seeds that could germinate. Not to mention that squirrels and larger birds generally won't touch it. We prefer to use finch bird feeders with small openings to economically dispense this tiny wild bird food.
